Out here on my own
Some days I need a little reminder of how far I've come and how much further I have to go....I have these brief, Irene Cara as Coco in FAME moments
Sometimes I wonder where I've been
Who I am
Do I fit in.
Make believin' is hard alone,
Out here on my own
We're always provin' who we are
Always reachin' for the risin' star
To guide me far
And shine me home
Out here on my own
and then I take it here.........
Sometimes I wonder where I've been
Who I am
Do I fit in
I may not win
But I can't be thrown SERIOUSLY
Out here on my own
On my own
and then I get over it and pick myself back up and press on....
Sometimes it just feels like my foot is nailed to the ground but I shall free myself and pedal on, dodging the monkey wrenches, the naysayers keep trying to throw in my spokes.
Avoiding the humans who suffer from U.D.A. (unpursued dream angst.)
If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem.
I might be forced to tattoo this to my forehead.
Sparked by discouraging moments of self-publishing my(our) children's book.....
Which WILL be coming soon to a bookstore near you...or from the back of my truck....Come hell or high water.
"I CAN'T BE THROWN" so stop trying.
Dayna's honorary lyric change - "I may not win" to " I'll somehow win and I can't be thrown"
Win what? Who knows. But if there's something to win, I plan on winning it.
didn't know what I was doing or why but I was doing it.
